THE VISITOR

An exploration of industrialization and collapse through the eyes of a space explorer as he encounters the empty remains of an urban landscape.  Conceptualized by Snyder and shot as a collaboration with Bjorklund and Miller, The Visitor was created in the winter of 2016.  During the project, the three friends fluidly interchanged roles as director, cameraman and model, allowing themselves to each experience the spaceman’s journey and probe the urban landscape with fresh eyes.

The project grew out of the question:  what would an alien visitor think if he landed here and saw the world that we have created for the first time?  Not just it’s waste and destruction, but the inherent beauty and fragility.  Is it possible that we too may also be able to see our world with such a critical and wondering mind?
