Michael often lectures on visual storytelling and its potential as a tool for social impact.  He has been an Observer Delegate and featured speaker at the United Nations Climate Conference (COP26) and has lectured and presented work at universities such as Columbia, Yale, Stanford, CUNY, the Alfred Wegener Institute, and the University of Edinburgh.   

Michael's photographic and film work has been galleried in spaces around the world including shows at Photoville, The Capa Center, The Center for Fine Art Photography, NYC Climate Week, The Indian Photo Festival, Praxis Gallery, National Geographic Show at MountainFilm, Sent Into Space, United Nations International Maritime Organization, The Wall Gallery, Yale University, University of Virginia, The Griffin Museum of Photography, Patagonia, The Glasgow Science Center, Charlottesville's 2nd St. Gallery, and the McGuffey Arts Center.
