FLOW

While this looks like an abstract painting, or perhaps macro photography of a human lung, what you are looking at are sinuous patterns formed by a glacial river as it meanders across a broad valley near the mouth of Adventfjord on the remote Arctic island of Svalbard.

While the colors have been enhanced for effect, the patterns and the hues themselves are all nature's work. Dendritic (tree like) patterns are one of the many common forms that nature employs to move energy and matter throughout systems.... from the capillaries in our bodies, to the meanders of great rivers.

"To know consists of opening out a way
whence the imprisoned splendor may escape."
- Robert Browning
